Darth Malak was a Jedi Knight who fell to the dark side after being corrupted by Sith teachings during the Mandalorian Wars. At the end of that conflict, he and his friend Revan led their combined military forces into the Unknown Regions where they founded a powerful new Sith Empire to challenge the fragile Galatic Republic. After he became a Sith Lord, Darth Malak served for a time as Darth Revan's apprentice, but he was best known for his brief and brutal tenure as  Dark Lord of the Sith during the Jedi Civil War.
