The conquering Norman Knight wears a typical kit that most Normans in the early-to-mid 12th century would wear. He is clad in a full hauberk of mail, complete with coif and full sleeves ending in mail mittens, as well as chausses (leg coverings). His accoutrements are typically Norman; a domed skullcap with nasal, a broad kite shield, and a single-hand sword with a straight guard and brazil-nut pommel (Little Armory 'broadsword'). Both his helm and shield have been painted in a red-and-black pattern, hopefully to make him look fiercer on the field of battle.
