These soldiers of the kingdom were of such great fighting skill and so menacing, even the Dark Lord Sauron didn't try to withstand them. They traveled to Middle Earth and the evil armies fled before them and before Numenor's downturn, they performed many great feats in many corners of the world including the capture of Sauron. Some of you may recognize some of his armament, his sword is that of falchion style. Appropriately elegant because again, they would have learned much from the Elves, including smithying.
