Custom Final Fantasy X-2 figures

Trying something new here...

I'm really enjoying creating custom decals and stickers but often get frustrated with how crappy the decals actually print out with the equipment I have one hand. While working on my recent scooter shop MOCs, I tried something new by taking the decals I was thinking about using and Photoshopping them onto a photo of the MOC: sort of a test to see how they'd look on the models before actually printing and using them. I really liked the immediacy of the process and being able to make adjustments on the fly before committing to a design. It occurred to me that I could do the same thing with minifigures, without having to brasso a torso and then possibly not be happy with the results.

Here are my first attempts at doing "eDecals", the main ladies from Squaresoft's Final Fantasy X-2 game:

I seriously doubt this would ever even come close to "actual" customizing. Look at CAD renderings vs. actual bricks... People, especially LEGO fans, tend to like physical, concrete creations more. That being said, I *do* plan on continuing doing these virtual figs because I get to be creative without having to worry about how poorly a decal can turn out, nevermind that it doesn't cost a torso every time I do one. Not to say I'll never print these for real; I'm just not in a hurry to do so.

I've already created Ashe, Balthier, and a couple others from FF12, so I'll have those posted sometime soon as well.

Nice work! That's a great

Nice work! That's a great idea, it could save a lot of time (not to mention effort) but my Photoshop skills probably wouldn't allow for anything this good.

Since a post here isn't complete with out a FF opinion (apparently), I really liked the game back on the ancient SNES system. Haven't played any since.
