I need (alot) of molding questions answered...

Hi all, Im a total noob when it comes to anything along the lines of putties and silicone and resins -so basically everything that has to do with minifig customs- the most Ive ever done is made some decals but that only goes so far. Anyway, here are some questions I have:

To make a mold, what kind of silicone should I use, and where can I find it? Ive checked some different sites and all but there are so many differrent options that Im not sure what would actually work.

Where can I get some good resin? And how can I tell what resins are good and which are bad? And what about dyes for resin? where might I find those?

Last question, what should I use to add color -in certain areas- to models once I make them? Should I use some form of model paint, or sharpie markers or are there some kind of "model markers"?

So yeah, as you cxan judge by this, I have absolutely no clue about what to go with. Seeing as how Im on a tight starting budget, Im just hoping for some suggestions on some of these items as far as brands to look for, what specifications I should note when purchasing and whatnot.

Alright, for molding and stuff like that. Go to the search bar and search Tothiro because that will give you everything you need. It is a Q and A session on a forum with Recluce as the main host/mod. Just don't post in it or on any old articles that have been untouched for a bit. Thanks. Sorry I can't give the link.

What about Australia?

I reflect everything GameBr8ker said, but from the Antipodes :)

Anyone know?

Depends, depends, depends.

Depends, depends, depends. It all depends, really, on where you live. USA? Alumulite is your best bet, or Micromark. Or Smooth-on.

UK? The 4-D model shop in London has Smooth-on's resin and mold rubber, but are more personal and show you how to do things. Or you could try your own research.
